Gender Inequality Section 3
Scientist considered biological determination to be a moral threat because some people thought of themselves as inferior. This has lead to there being more racism and sexism in the world. "Sexist ideology" is the belief that men are naturally superior to women, has been used for a very long time to justify mens leadership and power in society. Sexism is getting better but it has not gone away, women in the society hold jobs that only men could uphold just a few years ago.
In 1999 the highest amount of women working outside of their home was 65% along with the 77% who were men. That same year, women represented barely under 50% of the U.S. labor force. In 1960 women who were married with children under the age of 6, who worked outside of the home increase. In 1960 only 37% and in 1975 64.6% worked outside of the home.
